1. Grey Nail Polish
This is my favorite nail polish and the darker tinge is perfect for fall. I like how it has a hint of purple in it also. It is Rimmel brand, "Steel Gray".
2. Women Food & God- Geneen Roth
I read this inspiring book thinking it would help me better counsel and support my patients with disordered eating or struggle with their relationship with food. I was happy to see that this book also showed me how powerful thoughts can be in every area of your life. I love how it inspires women to love their bodies, end negative self-talk and come alive again.
“...compulsive eating is basically a refusal to be fully alive. No matter what we weigh, those of us who are compulsive eaters have anorexia of the soul. We refuse to take in what sustains us. We live lives of deprivation. And when we can't stand it any longer, we binge. The way we are able to accomplish all of this is by the simple act of bolting -- of leaving ourselves -- hundreds of times a day.”

3. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Food and Nutrition Conference and Expo (FNCE)
I love attending FNCE and while I learn a lot from the sessions I attend, I learn more from interacting with other Dietitians in various fields. I love hearing what other RDs are doing, sharing success stories, and leaving with great energy to implement new ideas. There is also a great exhibition hall featuring new and familiar products and technologies. Hoping to attend again next year in Houston!
4. Cobb Salads
This has been one of my go to lunches the past month. I love salads but only when they offer a variety of flavors and textures. I have been hard-boiling eggs early in the week to use on the salads along with 1/4 of an avocado and some other type of protein: chickpeas, turkey, ham, or turkey bacon. Whatever we have in the house! My favorite lettuce base is arugula.
5.Football Games and Tailgating
We saw a great game Cowboys vs. Ravens and even though the game didn't end in our favor it was such a great game to be at. We also had fun tailgating with family and friends and how cute are these Cowboys cookies my mom made?
6. Vita Coco
Excited to have another drink to add to my daily fluid intake when I do not feel like water. I love how vita coco is low in calories and uses natural ingredients while still tasting great. It also provides various vitamins and minerals, great for after a workout!
7. Card Star App
I recently discovered this app and have been using it all the time! You know all those cards you have, from food stores, book stores, CVS, and other stores you frequent? I rarely always have the one I need and they tend to take up a lot of space in my clutch! This app lets you keep all your cards electronically and the register can automatically scan the barcode right from your phone! It also saves deals, coupons and everything right on the app.
8. Spaghetti Squash
This has been one of my favorite fall dishes to date. It is so cheap this time of year and very universal as a pasta alternative. Check out my step by step tutorial if you are interested in giving it a try.
9. Trader Joe's Mediterranean Hummus
My new favorite work snack is green peppers and hummus. I cut up about 4 peppers early in the week and place them in Ziploc bags. This Mediterranean hummus is very flavorful and creamy making for a satisfying snack.
10. Pumpkin!
This one is pretty obvious but I cannot get enough of pumpkin lately. I went to an October Fest with my family early this month and tried a bunch of pumpkin treats and beer. I have also been using pumpkin spice coffee and making sure my pumpkin chili makes it into the rotation! We also carved pumpkins and roasted the seeds.

I love these posts :) and I am downloading that card app right now!! Thanks Kait!!
